Koreteck (formerly known as R-Steel), along with both Butler Manufacturing and The Vistawall Group, is a BlueScope Steel company.

Koreteck began operations in 2002 under the name R-Steel and as an operating unit of Butler Manufacturing Company. In April of 2004, Butler Manufacturing became a BlueScope Steel company. In March of 2005, R-Steel was renamed Koreteck. The product name also changed to Koreteck® panelized building system to better reflect its product characteristics and greater market exposure.
